You make insightful points in this posting. Since you seem to feel you don't currently have the kinds of meaningful relationships you seek, what are you doing to meet new people in your life? You've already isolated some human character traits of interest. This is a step in the right direction. I think it would also be useful to work to develop these traits in yourself. Doing so will help to attract the sorts of people you would like to meet. Based on your knowledge and life experience, seek out places where you can be supportive and constructive to others in need. You will find people who enrich you while you enrich them. One idea I would suggest would involve supporting people who have cancer. Since you survived that disease and know what the experience did for you, even your silent understanding will be appreciated by someone somewhere. The rest is up to you.
